About the Program
The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports engaging a diverse pool of undergraduates in paid summer research experiences. There are two mechanisms for funding:
- REU Sites are comprised of independent proposals that bring a small collection of students (10-12) together to conduct guided research in a single area of study. This could be tied to a specific department or a field of study cutting across departments or colleges.
- REU Supplements can be included as a supplement to a new or current NSF-funded research project.
