Faculty, staff and students of public or private colleges or universities in Iowa, and researchers and educators affiliated with Iowa state agencies may apply for seed grants from the University of Iowa Center for Health Effects of Environmental Contamination. The application deadline is January 4.
Funding emphasis is on original pilot studies leading to innovative lines of environmental and public health research. The program seeks to fulfill education and research missions of Iowa colleges and universities by involving students in research activities.
Up to $200,000 total is available for research projects for the current grant cycle, with maximum individual awards of $40,000. The awards cover one year.
