TEDMED 2015 will be recorded during a live event Nov. 18-20, 2015 in Palm Springs, Calif., and feature more than 80 talks from transformative scientists, innovators, artists, athletes, and others seeking to create a healthier world.

Talks are grouped into several categories. “Human Explorations,” for instance, delves into intensely human experiences, including sexual myths and realities; the indomitable human spirit; how we identify with our genomic data; emerging technologies that edit our DNA; the tortured psyche; maximizing human potential; and related issues.
Other categories include “Mind Matters,” which explores the human brain; “Catalyzing Great Science,” which features “risk-taking researchers” working to “disrupt the scientific paradigm” and “break through barriers between academic and industry;” “Back to Basics,” looking at change-makers in the healthcare industry; “Food Fix,” featuring multi-disciplinary thinkers who are reshaping what and how we eat; “Techno-Utopia,” exploring novel ways we are creating technologies with wide applications to health and medicine; “Who Cares for Health Care?” on the challenges facing the industry; and “Out There,” which explores our changing environment and so-called fringe science that is going mainstream.
Speakers include “Genetic Rebel” and 23andMe cofounder and CEO Anne Wojcicki; “Mindful Addiction Doctor” Judson Brewer; “Entrepreneurial Science Curator” Hemai Parthasarathy; bio-electronics pioneer Kevin Tracey; U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy; food justice activist Bryant Terry; and “Meta-Genomist” Chris Mason, among others.
