The UI Research Foundation handled the licensing agreement that is allowing CartilaGen to commercialize innovative technology developed by James Martin, Ph.D., UI Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, which uses hydrogel-based material to regenerate damaged cartilage.
Behavioral Diagnostics is bringing its revolutionary approach to the treatment and prevention of substance abuse disorders to the marketplace with the assistance of UI Ventures. The company was co-founded by Rob Philibert, M.D., Ph.D., UI Professor of Psychiatry.
The competition is sponsored by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization and is a feature of the Iowa Biotech Association’s annual Partnering for Growth biotech investor conference and industry forum. The March 21-22 event is geared around learning, investing and networking with multiple sectors of the biotech industry. Robert Zolynas, Bayer Health Care, and Mike Stern, Climate Corp., are the keynote speakers for the 2017 event.
