University of Iowa researchers interested in learning about limited, but potentially lucrative, research funding opportunities have a sleek new tool at their disposal.

Limited submission programs are competitive funding programs that restrict the number of proposals that may be submitted from one institution. Institutional applicants for programs with limited submission restrictions are determined through an internal review process. 

Funding Focus is a weekly email sent out every Wednesday by the Research Development Office to subscribers with the latest submission opportunities. The digest-style email organizes each opportunity by funding entity, title, institutional limits for submissions, deadline, keywords and links to help researchers quickly find opportunities that are relevant to them.

Funding Focus typically includes three to five limited submission programs per issue. Previously, each individual grant opportunity was emailed out to associate deans for research and grant administrators. The new digest format consolidates opportunities and limits the number of emails sent out each week.
