The Office of the Vice President for Research asks for campus assistance in ensuring that proposals are routed in compliance with the Division of Sponsored Programs’ routing policy.  The policy requires all external funding requests to be routed through the proper institutional channels for review and approval at least five working days in advance of the sponsor’s submission deadline. 

Honoring this deadline ensures that proposals receive a thorough review, which enhances compliance with sponsor guidelines and proposal success. Early routing also reduces the risk of errors and helps mitigate any unforeseen issues such as technical glitches, human factors such as absences, or uncertainties with federal government systems.
